Video: Mountain Biking in Richmond, Virginia

Kayakers and climbers love Richmond, Virginia, for the urban whitewater fun of the James River and the unconventional brick routes of Manchester Wall. But in recent years the city has started to attract mountain bikers as well. With the construction of the Belle Isle Bike Skills Area and the development of trails throughout the park system, Richmond has welcomed the opportunity to open its doors for a new community.

This video features two bikers on the trails of Pocahontas State Park, a key destination in the area and part of the Richmond Regional Ride Center. The Center, which works to restore mountain biking trails throughout the city, also plans to create 20 more miles of trail within the Park and eventually call Richmond home to over 70 miles of mountain biking terrain. These bikers explore a section of Pocahontas State Park that the RRRC is currently focused on.
