Points Standings - The Blue Ridge Cup

Let's face it, the world revolves around points. Especially when there's a Cup involved. In keeping with the general spirit of things, the Blue Ridge Cup is very much the same. It's not like we're all about conformity, but we are familiar with the phrase "keep it simple, stupid." Each event in the Blue Ridge Cup has been assigned a specific point value according to length, difficulty, etc. In general, the more exhausted you feel when you cross that finish line, the more points you've probably earned for the effort.

And because the only thing better than points is bonus points, we've devised a method for you to collect some of those as well. Bonus points are awarded for to the folks who love to stand upon the podium: 50 points for a third place finish, 100 points for a second, and 200 points for the blue ribbon. And because we also like to keep things simple, bonus points can only be awarded to the top three overall finishers, male and female, for any given event.
