It is in the "Mountain Bike Virginia" book and called "Sherando Lake Loop". At the starting point off FR 42 (Coal Road) at the "Turkey Pen Trail" parking lot, a "Foot Traffic" only sign was posted - to me this excludes bikes? I want to know if this is recent - doesn't seem to be part of the compromise discussed in this article. I see riders posting ride info on the Trails.com site for this ride as recent as Fall 2009.
