Väsen Brewing Company

We’re lucky to have one of the largest blocks of intact public land in the East right here in Virginia!  (almost 2 million acres!) Wild Virginia is a grassroots organization based out of Charlottesville VA that works to protect, and help you protect, these forests that provide clean drinking water for us and habitat for an incredible array of species. We are dedicated to preserving the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests and do that through many campaigns to include education, nature outings, technical commenting on Environment Impact Statements (EIS) released by the forest service, and during the spring by hosting the Wild and Scenic Film Festival. These forests belong to us, BUT without watchdog organizations like Wild Virginia, and people like you getting involved, industry can be the loudest voice when decisions are made about what happens to the forests. For instance, the Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley pipelines are planned to cut right through our national forests and drinking watersheds, so we’re working to stop them. Our outings and educations are so much fun and speak to all ages, and the more grown up work we are doing right now is advocating for our forests against the Mountain Valley and Atlantic Coast Pipelines as well as forming a Forest Defense Task Force. Please join us!  The more people we sign up as paid members, the more people we speak for as work to stop the pipelines and protect your public lands.

Come join us for a night of mingling, wildlife trivia and some awesome Patagonia prizes at Väsen Brewery in Richmond, Virginia! This ‘friend-raiser’ will focus on Wild Virginia’s mission and accomplishments to include a short presentation by Laurie Miller, Board Member; and a table set up with information available for potential volunteers and activists!’
