I love the Blue Ridge Mountains and I have traveled to Wintergreen to ski and absolutely did not want to return to Texas. The lodge over there at Wintergreen was awesome, especially the outdoor hot tubs and spa. I loved it so much that I have been trying to get a job up there and am being considered for placement in Richmond.

Once again Blue Ridge Outdoors inspires me to plan for more running, more trails, and more kayaking in different places. What a wonderful area we live in. All of us need to “get outside and play” more!

As a native North Carolinian, I’ve been all over the state but my all time favorite place is up and down the Blue Ridge Mountains from Murphy to Mount Airy, and into Virginia – the most beautiful landscapes in the Southeast. Blue Ridge Outdoors is an incredible resource for trip planning, recreation, gear, tips and news. Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte now carries the magazine thanks to the Center for Sustainability office there. Part of our purpose is to connect folks in Charlotte with the natural world and this publication will be a great motivational resource.
