Winter Olympics are better! I’m just partial to them! But folks aren’t as familiar with them so it give an opportunity for those sports to be highlighted! It also helps give a boost to the snowsports industry! Folks are thinking about skiing and snowboarding and so they go do it more during Olympic years…and in today’s economy the industry can use the support!
Misty May + Kerri Walsh + aerodynamic uniforms = Hot Summer Olympics
Winter Olympics! But this month i hope no one wants to ban gun toting Bi-Athletes from using the same trails as regular cross country skiers.
Both use to be great, but I miss the days of some of the participants actually being amateurs. I will go with the summer Olympics just basaed on my own interests. However, I think the true spirit of the Olympics is best found in the Special Olympics now…great competition with much less politics.
I prefer the summer sports in terms of my personal participation, but for watching, nothing in the summer comes close to the thrill of racing at the downhill speeds that ice and snow enable.
I just relish watching the speed sports in winter olympics as skiing, bobsledding runs, and ski jumping that is so spectacular; most of figure skating (without the corrupt judges marking down people not from their country or region)as opposed to the speed sports that dominate the summer olympics; even like mogul jumping in skis and that new sport with the little surfboard where they do manuevers down the snow pipe. Summer olympics doesnt have many new exciting sports and as for dancing forms in the water….please sport??? I dont think so.

would this question have a different result if it had been posed in advance of the summer olympics? i say yes! where do i vote?
Winter Olympics by far!!! There is nothing more exciting than the skiing, snowboarding, bobsled, luge, etc…We are so blessed living in this part of the country to have such great natural resources at basically our fingertips to be able to enjoy some of the same thrills as the Olympians. We “regular Joe’s” can at least pretend we’re competing for a medal, that is, all the while we’re just trying not to break our necks…ha!
I’ve always found the summer olympics to be a more exciting and diverse event. To me, as a viewer, the winter olympics always appeared to have its roots in winter cottages and hideaways. While I know that’s not true, that impression is there. Now there seems to be a bit more diversity in a number of the sports. Hopefully that will encouarge a lot more people to participate in winter sports.
The real olympics??? The most important cities in the world compete to host the summer olympics. Winter olympics are ok but it is limited only to ice related sports. Traditional sports like swimming, track, tennis, soccer, among many, make the summer olympics the only real olympics.
Olympics are boring in my opinion
I LOVE THE WINTER OLYMPICS!!!!!!!!!! I think short track speedskating is the best because I love Apolo Ohno. Winter is my favorite season, too, so when the winter olympics are happening its a major bonus!!! Plus, the summer olympics are just a bunch of sweaty or wet people doing regular, boring sports. The winter olympics are unique.
