Terrapin Mountain 50K and Half-Marathon
March 27 // Sedalia, Va

Ultra legend David Horton’s Lynchburg Ultra Series is becoming part of  The Beast Series. In addition to favorites like Holiday Lake and the Mountain Masochist, the new series also contains this rugged slog around Central Virginia’s Terrapin Mountain in early spring.

An easy escape for Atlanta runners looking to take to the trails, this new race features 4.5 miles of off-road terrain, ranging from rolling hills, technical singletrack, dirty doubletrack, and plenty of climbs.

Blue Ridge Marathon
April 24 // Roanoke, Va

The Blue Ridge Marathon on the Parkway promises to be a challenging run with plenty of ups and downs through the 3,076 feet of total elevation gain. Fortunately the race—which starts and finishes in downtown Roanoke and also includes a half-marathon—will also offer plenty of breathtaking views.

Trans-Sylvania Mountain Bike Epic
May 30 – June 5 // State College, Pa

Grease the chain for seven long days of rugged riding in the Central Pennsylvania Mountains. After an opening day 10-mile time trial, stages will range from 25 to 60 miles.

2010 IMBA World Summit
May 5-8 // Augusta, Ga

Expected to be the organization’s biggest international summit yet, the event—open to the public—will include seminars on urban trail networks, land conservation, and sustainable trails, as well as a hearty amount of riding in the IMBA Epic-rated Forks Area Trail System.

Richmond Twilight Grand Prix
June 3 // Richmond, Va

Fast-pack cycling action is coming to Virginia’s Capital City with this brand new event on the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar. More details on the high-profile downtown race should unfold soon.
