Did you know that Richmond Hill is Asheville’s only forested park? Come explore this local park with us! While we walk, we’ll learn about the invasive species removal work MountainTrue does to keep this park clean and safe, the history and future of the park, and some of unique and interesting species you can find in Asheville’s backyard! The walk will be ~3.5 miles, but is not strenuous. The elevation change is minor, but be prepared for a couple small creek crossings! Please bring snacks, water, and whatever you need to stay warm! It is possible to arrive at the park via public transit, but if you have questions about how to get to the park please email outings@mountaintrue.org.
