The Swim Across America – Atlanta Open Water Swim at Lake Lanier will unite cancer survivors, Olympians, Paralympians and swimmers of all skill levels on Saturday, September 22, 2018, to make an impact on cancer research locally. Together, SAA-Atlanta and its supporters have raised $1.2 million for promising research at the Swim Across America lab located at Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Swimmers can choose from half-mile, 1-mile, 5K and 2-mile relay distances as well as a Duck Splash for youth swimmers. The September event will be alive with an Olympian Autograph Clinic, entertainment, awards, refreshments and family-friendly activities including access to Lanier Islands Sunset Cove.
