Enjoy The Snowshoe Highlands Ride Center

Enjoy the Snowshoe Highlands Ride Center, West Virginia’s first and only IMBA designated ride center

The silver level designated IMBA Snowshoe Highlands Ride Center features endless mountain biking opportunities from Green Bank Observatory, Snowshoe Mountain Resort and the newly expanded Mower Basin Trails.

Take the family out for a gentle bike ride down the Greenbrier River Trail State Park, an award winning, 78-mile rail trail with a less than 3% grade – explore tunnels and cross bridges along your epic excursion.

Defy all odds of gravity as you take on the Snowshoe Bike Park at Snowshoe Mountain Resort or take out on the Backcountry trails that lead through narrow, rocky and rooty downhill paths.

Venture into the Monongahela National Forest and enjoy IMBA designated epic trail, the Gauley Mountain Trail or enjoy the many biking opportunities in the Tea Creek Trail System or Mower Basin Trails.

Start your mountain biking experience with beginner trails such as Kinnison Mountain Trail and Cowpasture Trail.

Rely on outfitters such as Appalachian Sport, Greenbrier River Shuttles, Dirtbean Café and Bike Shop, Elk River Touring Center, Jack Horner’s Corner and the Snowshoe Outdoor Adventure Program.

After mountain biking, take in our unique attractions such as the largest steerable telescope at Green Bank Observatory, steam-driven locomotives at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, Watoga, Droop and Beartown State Parks, or take a tour at the Pearl S. Buck Birthplace.

While you’re on the Greenbrier River Trail, grab an ice cream at the Cass Company Store in Cass, at 4th Avenue Sweet Scoops in Marlinton, or at Jack Horner’s Corner in Seebert.

Enjoy fine dining at Appalachian Kitchen at Snowshoe Mountain Resort, dine along the Greenbrier River at the Greenbrier Grille, enjoy a meal and watch as the steam-driven locomotives pull in at Last Run Restaurant in Cass, or grab a delicious meal at Levels Depot Café in Hillsboro.
