April Cycling Events With Blue Ridge Outdoors

It’s that time of year again folks! The weather is warming up and we’re gearing up to go outside and play. Blue Ridge Outdoors is co-hosting two biking events this April with more on the way. First up is TomTom Fest, a family-friendly, no-drop ride in Charlottesville, VA. Next up is an overnight bikepacking trip, Bikepacking 101, in Harrisonburg, VA. Learn more about these events below and follow Blue Ridge Outdoors on Facebook to stay up to date with our latest happenings.

TomTom Fest Group Bike Ride

Saturday, April 14 in Charlottesville, VA.

Join Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine and Blue Ridge Cyclery on a family friendly group bike ride from Darden Towe Park in Charlottesville, Va. This is a no-drop-ride, so come out and pedal with us, no matter your experience level. Riders must bring their own bikes and helmets. If you’re like us, bring snacks and water too to prevent you from getting hangry.

RSVP on Facebook or email [email protected] for more information.

Bikepacking 101

April 28 – April 29 in Harrisonburg, VA.

Bikepacking is one of the fastest growing segments of the bike industry and for good reason! Speed, versatility, and accessibility make this niche sport one of the best ways to explore your backyard. Join Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine and Bluestone Bike & Run staff on a beginner friendly overnighter in the George Washington National Forest! Route TBD but will not exceed 50 miles in length and will traverse only secondary and gravel roads. Riders must be self-sufficient, but if you have questions, we have answers!

For those who are completely new to bikepacking, check out Bluestone’s bikepacking crash course on April 10th, where we will cover what gear to bring, layers to wear, and how to pack!

RSVP on Facebook or email [email protected] or [email protected] with any questions you may have.
