Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), industry leading parachute hammock company, and Chaco Footwear are partying together in Asheville, N.C., as part of Chaco’s Fit for Adventure Tour.

The event will take place in ENO’s downtown office parking lot located at 24 Buxton Ave. on Monday, Sept. 15, from 5 – 9 p.m. Fellow Asheville local, Green Man Brewery, and regional non-profit, Wild South, will be co-hosting the fun.

So far, Chaco’s tour has hit eight different spots, but this will be the first time they are visiting a fellow outdoor industry brand’s headquarters.

The tour gives Chaco a chance to thank their fans, meet new ones face-to-face, and provide opportunities to touch and feel their footwear before the decision to purchase.

The Chaco fleet, which consists of a specially designed Chaco truck and trailer, a photo booth and a mobile footwear station, is warmly welcomed by ENO, who will provide their fun and relaxing ENOpods – a free standing tri-hammock stand – and hammocks galore for guests to lounge and socialize in. Wristbands will be sold for $2 that will grant guests (aged 21 and over) access to drink Green Man brews while trying on shoes. All wristband proceeds will be donated to Wild South and their conservation efforts.

“We cannot wait for Chaco to come join us here in Asheville,” Amy Allison, ENO’s Events Coordinator said. “We’re honored such a big player in the (outdoor) industry is stopping by, and who doesn’t love local beer, sandals and hammocks? This is a great opportunity for our brands and the community to unite.”

“Sharing similar consumers, ENO and Chaco have become something of “bffs” in the outdoor industry, participating in a number of social media promotions together and enjoying daily tweets from each other’s followers,” adds Kelley Freridge, Chaco Marketing Specialist. “With that in mind, we thought this stop on the tour would make a great addition to our successful summer of engaging with consumers, and a wonderful way for our partnership with ENO to flourish.”
The event is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to bring friends, family, and anyone they feel is in need of a new pair of sandals. It will kick off Sept. 15, 2014 at 24 Buxton Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 from 5pm-9pm.

Eagles Nest Outfitters, the brain child of brothers Peter and Paul Pinholster, was founded in the summer of 1999. Growing steadily from a two-man, one-van operation, to the leading provider of ingeniously crafted parachute hammocks and outdoor accessories, the company offers relaxation products for adventure travelers and outdoors lovers.
