Limited-Edition Knife Benefits the Appalachian Trail

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy turns 100 this year, and to celebrate the nonprofit, dedicated to protecting and preserving the namesake 2,200-mile famous footpath, is hosting some special events and launching limited-edition gear collaborations.

The latter includes a new knife made by Pennsylvania-based Case Knives, which crafted a commemorative blade to pay tribute to the A.T.

The natural bone trapper knife features two nice inscriptions, one featuring the A.T. diamond, and another with the route’s bookend states, “Maine to Georgia.” And it comes in a gift-ready tin case.

The best part is 100 percent of the proceeds of the knives’ sales go to the ATC to help the organization continue its trail advocacy.

The commemorative knife is limited to 250 pieces, and it’s available for $100 online at ATCTrailStore.org, as well as at the ATC’s Harpers Ferry Visitor Center and Damascus Trail Center.
