One nice thing about being ignorant of the outcome of this season and not being a running encyclopedia was not knowing the end result of the big meets detailed in the book. Lear gives very few clues as to how these races will go which provides for an enjoyable read with great suspense. The book is not a bad way to get caught up on some not-so-far away running history while also enjoying some excellent prose. I would suggest you take a read.
