I’m pretty sure my wife secretly develops gear for Garmin. Here’s what clued me in. Garmin recently showed off their new GTU 10 tracking system at the massive Outdoor Retailer convention in Utah, where gear companies get together to one up each other with their newest products. The GTU 10 is super light and works with your existing AT&T service. Put the tracker on someone or something, set up a “geofence,” and if that person or thing travels outside the set boundaries, you get a text. Garmin is marketing the tracker to be placed on dogs, bikes, and kids, but I’m pretty sure my wife developed the technology in order to keep me from going skiing without her.
