Toubab Krewe is about to finish another year of hard touring with a set of high-profile shows. The West Africa-influenced groove masters from Asheville, N.C., will travel north this weekend to play the newly renovated Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville, Va. The gig on Saturday night will be a big after-party for the sold out Phish concert down the road at John Paul Jones Arena. Then later in the month the band will celebrate New Year’s Eve with two hometown shows at The Orange Peel.

In preparation for the shows Toubab is offering a free download of a live version of “Bamana Niya,” recorded live in 2006 with special guest Phish bassist Mike Gordon. Download it here.
