Carolina Climbers Coalition Celebrates 30 Years with Special Event

The Carolina Climbers Coalition (CCC)—the regional nonprofit known for its steadfast climbing access advocacy work—will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special event later this spring. On June 14, the organization is throwing a celebratory gala at New Belgium Brewing in Asheville, N.C., and is telling guests to “go glam or dirtbag chic” for the event.

More details from the CCC event page: “[We invite] you to an inspiring night of culinary delights, special guest speakers, and shared passion for preserving and expanding climbing access in the Carolinas and beyond. This milestone event directly supports our mission to protect treasured landscapes and create opportunities for all climbers.”

Along with panel talks, the event will feature food, beer, and prizes from New Belgium, as well as a silent auction and exclusive climbing gear and experiences.

Climbers know the CCC for its diligent work protecting and expanding access in the mountains of North and South Carolina. Lately the organization has been focused on restoring areas damaged during Hurricane Helene, clearing debris and downed trees at beloved crags including Rumbling Bald and Table Rock.

The nonprofit’s gala tickets are currently on sale, with early bird rates available through April 15. Details can be found at their website
