Admission to all National Parks is free this Saturday

To kick off National Parks Week the National Park Service is granting free admission to all of the country’s 61 national parks and over 300 other sites across the United States this Saturday.

National Parks Week is a nine-day celebration of the parks and includes special events such as National Junior Rangers Day (4/20), Military and Veterans Recognition Day (4/21), Earth Day (4/22), Transportation Tuesday (4/23), Wild Wednesday (4/24), Throwback Thursday (4/25), Friendship Friday (4/26), Bark Ranger Day (4/27), and Park Rx Day (4/28).

Saturday will be the second of five admission-free days taking place in 2019. The parks will also be open free-of-charge on August 25, the National Park Service’s birthday, September 28 in celebration of Public Lands Day, and November 11, Veterans Day.
