Bird on a Wire

A recent study shows some of the world’s most common bird species have suffered significant population declines because invasive species, industrial agriculture, and logging. Twenty common North American species have declined by 50% in the last 40 years, according to the Birdlife International report.

Experts point to the bird decline as a sign of the overall rapid deterioration of the global environment.
