Rumbling Bald, a popular bouldering and route climbing destination inside North Carolina’s new Chimney Rock State Park, is open again to climbers. North Carolina State Park personnel had closed the crag in order to complete a construction overhaul of the access road and parking lot, but all scheduled projects affecting climbing access have been completed, and no future closures are scheduled.
