Big Bend National Park in Texas is requesting public comments on a proposal to build several miles of shared use singletrack. Big Bend is one of IMBA’s three pilot project parks designated to provide new opportunities for mountain bikers in national parks.
Currently, only a handful of national parks allow mountain biking on singletrack. Constructing a new singletrack trail built by mountain bikers for mountain bikers would signify a huge leap forward for the fat tire cause, and could open the door for similar projects across the country.
