Good Job George

The big Tour de France story continues to be the comeback of Lance Armstrong and the competition/support dynamic with his Astana teammate and current yellow jersey holder Alberto Contador of Spain. But during Saturday’s  Stage 14 the spotlight was shining on George Hincapie, who controversially came up just five seconds short of winning the tough stage. Hincapie, who resides part-time in Greenville, S.C., has been a stalwart support rider throughout his lengthy cycling career. A former teammate of Armstrong, Hincapie is credited with playing a crucial role in the legend’s past Tour success.

After today’s final rest day, the Tour gets ready for its last stretch to this coming Saturday’s finish in Paris. Armstrong is currently in second behind Contador, while Hincapie is now 13th overall.
