Always wanted to carve a sweet hiking trail through your neighborhood park? Here’s your chance to get some capital. The American Hiking Society’s National Trails Fun is accepting applications for their 2009 grant cycle, which gives local trail groups the cash they need to secure land access and the tools and materials they need to build or maintain trails.
Grants range from $500 to $5,000, and are awarded to local clubs who pitch quality projects that benefit the hiking community.
