Tonight PBS will debut a new four-part series “Appalachia: A History of Mountains and People,” which examines the eastern mountains from geological formation through cultural tradition. Narrated by Sissy Spacek, the documentary, which starts at 10:30pm, could apparently use a little more pep in its step, according to this luke warm review in the Washington Post.
