Late last week the House passed the 21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act, a $6.4 billion initiative to make environmental and health improvements to U.S. schools. In addition to upgrading energy efficiency and improving environmental quality inside schools, the bill, which now heads to the Senate, would provide hundreds of thousands of jobs, according to an AP story.
