The city of Baltimore just announced that its city schools will be the first in the country to participate in Meatless Monday. The non-profit initiative, started by the Johns Hopkins’ Bloomberg School of Public Health, has been getting national attention for encouraging people to cut meat out of their diet one day a week in an effort to reduce the risk of chronic illness and environmental impact.
