Interested in camping in Virginia? The Virginia Campground Association (VCA) invites you and your family to explore the best campgrounds in the state, offering a premier camping experience with top quality RV sites, tent camping and rental options.

Camping in Virginia can be back-to-basics on primitive sites, or well-developed tent sites with electric and water hookups, to RV sites with resort-style amenities, such as cable television, wireless internet, large swimming pools with splash grounds and water slides, mini golf, disc golf, jumping pillows and pads, game rooms, camp stores, and everything in between.

VCA campgrounds are big rig friendly with large pull through sites, pet friendly with pet parks and beaches, and family friendly with planned activities for kids of all ages. There are also rental options from luxurious lodges and RVs to small camping cabins and safari glamping tents.

Many parks also feature water access on the bay or one of our major rivers or lakes with onsite water sports like fishing, boating, river tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. No matter what you are looking for, Virginia is for camping lovers!

The Virginia Campground Association proudly presents the 2021 Virginia Campground Digital Directory available at www.virginiacampgrounds.com. This Camping Guide is a comprehensive listing of 70+ independent campgrounds and RV parks throughout Virginia.  Our seven regions stem from the beaches of the Eastern Shore to the mountains of South West Blue Ridge, the callings of national museums and our nation’s Capital in Northern Virginia, charming small towns and the historical seafood industry of the Chesapeake Bay, bustling Virginia Beach to a number of river and lakefront campgrounds making up the Tidewater/Hampton Roads, forests and lakes surrounded by foothills throughout Central Virginia, to the majestically scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and wondrous caverns throughout the Shenandoah Valley.

The 2021 Digital Directory is an interactive source with slideshows, videos and links VCA’s campground who provide a wide range of facilities and amenities to meet the diverse interests of campers and RVers.
