Explore the Blue Ridge Mountain Maze This Fall!

The Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is an all new fall festival to Central VA, filled to the brim with fall fun including a giant 5 acre corn maze, farm animals, giant slides, farm obstacle course, night mazes, private campfire rentals, a country store & a plethora of pumpkins in all shapes, colors and sizes! Come spend hours of fun OUTSIDE this fall and watch the fall colors come to life with our panoramic Blue Ridge Mountain views. Open weekends from September 26-November 8th, this 100% outdoor festival is worth adding to your covid-safe list of fun, family activities to do this fall.

The corn maze itself is what usually draws the crowds out to the festival, but Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is more than just a walk through stalks. The courtyard is an all ages playground for anyone that wants to enjoy it. Giant slides made from huge culvert pipes, a full size farm obstacle course & a pumpkin slingshot are just a few of the activities in the courtyard to entertain for hours. Not to mention the farm animals, a country store filled with local products to purchase, and the option to rent a private campfire at the Saturday Night Maze. Is there anything better than roasting s’mores over a campfire on a cool autumn night with a sky full of stars? The festival has something for everyone, both day and night!

Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is a passion project for co-owners Kate & Hub Knott, who began their journey into agri-tainment 20 years ago outside of DC, with America’s very first organically grown corn maze and the DC areas #1 Corn Maze Fall Festival. The two share a love for all things nature & outdoors and are thrilled to finally bring their family business to their local Blue Ridge Mountain home.

The Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is not your “cookie cutter” style festival, it is totally unique and the down home feel makes it easy to become a fall tradition for families and adults of the region. Persuading guests to enter into a corn labyrinth has proven year after year to be a great way to encourage folks to spend quality time together by working to navigate the maze, and then celebrate with a cup of hot cider & a caramel apple after successfully completing it. Hub & Kate are so excited to bring their stellar fall festival to the mountains of Nelson County this year and couldn’t be happier with the positive response so far. It is clear that families truly need a place to be outside and play once more.

For the first year in the new location, the theme of the maze is “Get Outside” to celebrate the mountains and encourage guests to take a break from day after day indoors. With its location at Wood Ridge Farm Brewery in Nelson County directly off RT 29, Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is conveniently located 30 minutes from Charlottesville, and 45 minutes from Lynchburg. It’s in the heart of the “Brew Ridge Trail,” home to several famous breweries and wineries, Monticello, Wintergreen Resort, the Blue Ridge Parkway, endless hiking, and Shenandoah National Park. It’s the perfect way to spend a fall day with an outing to a local brewery, then balance the fun for the family at the corn maze, get local pumpkins, and enjoy a farm view that is second to none.

With the tumultuous year we’ve all had, people are tired of being “corn-teened” and ready to burn off that pent up energy. There is a HUGE demand for safe and fun things to do. Being outside is the safest option for activities these days, and Blue Ridge Mountain Maze makes it easy to stay 6 feet apart. The event is 100% outside and is a safe & easy place to gather and social distance this fall, all while giving folks a break from being indoors all the time.

“Get Outside” this fall with stunning 360° Blue Ridge Mountain views, navigate the massive corn maze, scoop up the perfect pumpkin, enjoy an apple cider donut, and celebrate the bounties of the fall season. Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is the solution for “Getting Lost in Fun.” Open Thursdays & Fridays 1-6, Saturdays 10-10 and Sundays 10-6 until November 8th, plus Columbus day.
