BRO-TV: Bouldering in the Grayson Highlands

get more from BRO

In the October issue of Blue Ridge Outdoors, we go behind the scenes of bouldering in the High Country with the help of a few key voices in the Boone bouldering community. Aaron Parlier is one of those. Though originally from southwest Virginia, Parlier now calls Boone home and has recently opened a climbing gym in town called Center 45. Parlier’s heart still lies in the Old Dominion though, specifically in Grayson Highlands State Park. Just an hour north of Boone, the Highlands offer some of the best bouldering in the region, thanks largely to the efforts of Parlier.
