Q: What’s new?

We’ve recently renovated the Copper Kettle Restaurant & Bar. Enjoy the finest quality food in a relaxing and charming atmosphere.

We’ve also been working on a new event space building with expanded indoor and outdoor seating. The addition of a 989-square foot deck will allow guests to enjoy al fresco dining and entertainment, and they can also experience the slopes (summer and winter) up close.

Q: What are the best après ski activities at the resort and in the area?

The Copper Kettle Restaurant & Bar features live music on the weekends, and food and beverage with picture windows overlooking the slopes. It’s the ultimate venue to relax after a day on the slopes or after a round of 18 on our Championship Golf Course.

Q: What are your best runs and why?

Our signature trail,  Bootlegger, is the perfect intermediate slope. It’s upper section provides moderate pitch which is ideal for carving, and  it has a steep headwall at the end to challenge most skiers and snowboarders.

Q: Where do you recommend visitors buy their gear?

Our onsite Ski Boutique offers the latest gear and apparel that will equip anyone for a day out on the slopes.

Q: Any local beers / spirits in the area that our readers have to try?

Woodstock Brewhouse, a unique craft brewery located in historic downtown Woodstock, Virginia, is only a 20 minute drive away. If you want to experience Woodstock Brewhouse at the resort, you can find some of their local brews at the Copper Kettle Bar & Grill.

Q: What are the best off-the-slope activities that you offer?

Want some winter fun but need a break from the slopes? Slide down our 800-foot-long tubing lanes! They are right next to our slopes and great for those who don’t ski or snowboard.

Q: Where do you suggest your visitors stay in the area? And if they want to buy in the area?

There are several lodging options in and around Bryce Resort and are offered through different companies. Whether you’d like to stay in a hotel, condo, or a slopeside rental house that can fit the whole family, you’re guaranteed to find an option perfect for your stay.

If you’re ready to stay longer, there are several local real estate companies that can help you become a permanent part of the community.

Q: What do you offer beginners who want to learn to ski?

Our First Time Package bundles a lift ticket, one-hour lesson, and rental equipment for anyone 8 years of age and older looking to take to the slopes for the first time. The Award-Winning Kinder School features unique and interactive activities designed to teach children ages 4-7 how to get started in the sports of skiing and snowboarding.

Q: Are there any good family friendly activities at the resort?

All of our activities, both winter and summer, are geared towards families—young and old—for all to enjoy!
