An industrious climber in South Carolina has been exploring the Upstate at the foothills of the Southern Appalachians. He’s discovered and started developing a few different boulder fields that are completely new to the Southern climbing world. Most of the areas have problems suited for all climbing abilities. His latest discovery is a collection of boulders inside the Jocassee Gorges. The climber, dubbed Phoenix Fire, has even taken it upon himself to create a mini guide to the new area.
