It’s a ski slope, it’s a power plant, it’s a ski slope and a power plant. A Danish superstar architect has designed a waste to energy power near Copenhagen that houses a complete artificial mountain on the outside of the building. The company calls the concept, Hedonistic Sustainability, and hopes the design will help introduce the idea that sustainability can be fun, not a burden. The outside of the power plant would be covered in a Snowflex-like material and would feature a variety of slopes. The design won $644 million in a design competition, but it’s hard to imagine something this awesome being built any time soon.
