Cutting the Grass…and Pollution

The EPA recently announced that lawn mowers will soon have cleaner engines. The big sources of summertime smog-forming pollution will now be forced to cut emissions by 35 percent in new lawn and garden equipment by 2011. Speedboat engines will also be under new regulations. The EPA said the new rules could save up to 300 lives and 190 million gallons of gasoline every year.
