Nature Valley’s Save the Trails grant provides $5,000 to trail groups to restore one trail every year. The judges have narrowed the lucky trail down to a list of 20 potential winners, from the Trail to Mount Whitney to the Lol Loop Trail in Hawaii. Three Southeastern trails are up for the grant money, and you can help Nature Valley decide the winner. Log on and vote for which trail you think needs some love.
The three trails in our region up for the grant are the Cloudland Connector, which will provide access to Wilderness areas in Georgia. The Palmetto Trail in South Carolina, and the Fires Creek Rim Trail, which connects the A.T. with the Bartram Trail in North Carolina.
