Green Guilt Good Business

The economy may be facing a financial crisis, but that hasn’t slowed the purchase of carbon offsets, according to a new story in the Washington Post. Corporations looking to boost their image in the face of the country’s widespread green awareness have been spending millions on offsets at the average price of $6 per ton of emissions. Yahoo, for instance, spent $2 million last year on offsets.
