A number of Virginia’s bike and pedestrian paths are scheduled to be completed with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The paths might have been left uncompleted for years without federal funding. Among the bike paths scheduled for completion are the Virginia Capital Trail, a 54-mile paved route connecting Richmond with Jamestown, and the Roanoke River Greenway, which travels for 31 miles through the Roanoke Valley.
