Oskar Blues Brewery’s Burning CAN Beer Fest Coming Soon to REEB Ranch

Brevard, NC (June 12, 2019) - Oskar Blues Brewery’s Annual Burning CAN Beer Fest will pop off on August 9-10 at the scenic REEB Ranch in Hendersonville, NC. Burning CAN is a weekend-long craft beer throwdown complete with outdoor sports, camping, two nights of live music by internationally touring bands, food trucks; and the main event – a craft beer fest featuring over 70 breweries. Tickets to Burning CAN Beer Fest are on sale now.

The celebration kicks off on Friday with soulful blues-rock smothered in psychedelic sauce by Asheville’s own Travers Brothership; followed by soulful, hip-hop infused, melodic math rock by Tauk. Headliner Moon Taxi is no stranger to the music festival scene, having played at huge fests like Coachella, Hangout and Beale Street. A five-piece progressive pop/funk/rock outfit from Nashville, Moon Taxi’s magnetic, energetic performance is sure to get cans shaking at Burning CAN!

After the jams die down, revelers are invited to camp out at REEB Ranch, a pastoral piece of land at the foot of Dupont State Forest. Saturday morning starts with a group mountain bike or group road bike ride organized by REEB Cycles, a trail run led by Wild Bill, or a group paddle down the French Broad River. The REEB Ranch bike park will be open for those who want to get funky on the dual slalom course, the pumptrack, or the skillz area. Then, a yoga session will get everyone in the right state of mind to taste over 200 beers from the nation’s best craft breweries.

Once everyone has worked up a thirst, the main event will crack open – Saturday afternoon’s beer fest with more than 70 breweries pouring exclusively from CANs at the region’s sole can-only beer festival. Beer lovers will be introduced to craft beer from all over the East Coast and beyond. What’s the deal with cans? Oskar Blues Brewery started stuffing Dale’s Pale Ale into a can in 2002, igniting the craft can revolution that continues today. Cans are infinitely recyclable – not to mention light and portable to suit every adventurous craft beer lover’s lifestyle.

During Saturday’s craft beer jubilation, a pantheon of musical acts will heat up the Burning CAN stage. Empire Strikes Brass will lay down powerful, high energy brass/funk/rock sounds; Los Colognes will provide philosophic, “quietly anthemic” rock and roll; Dangermuffin will create organic folk Americana tunes; and Trongone Band will bring rock and country sounds to the stage. Finally, the evening will wrap up (get it?) with a mind-melting performance by Here Come The Mummies, an eight-piece group of 5,000 year old mummies that throw down “terrifying funk from beyond the grave.”

Jam the best of the craft-beer-in-a-can lifestyle into one giant weekend party – music, beer, mountain sports, food, and revelry. Ticket options include music-only, music-and-beer or weekend passes. Click here for ticket info or contact Aaron Baker at [email protected] for more information.
