Blue Knob All Season’s Resort is the place for a winter enthusiast looking for an outdoor adventure! With the highest skiable mountain in Pennsylvania it’s one of the most challenging ski resorts in the state. The resort offers 100 skiable acres, 1,072 of vertical, 34 runs served by five lifts and they have extensive snow making, so those who love winter can enjoy winter days and nights on the mountain.

The mountain is Blue Knob’s main asset. Here skiers will find an alpine skiing experience. The scenery, wilderness and numerous pines around the slopes offer a different experience than the average ski resort. Fans of these slopes say they enjoy the different terrain and consider it to be the best vertical in the Mid-Atlantic area.

This season Blue Knob is under new ownership. And a number of improvements are underway for this ski season. There’s a new and improved tubing location, updates have been made inside the lodge, and changes are taking place with the dining options as well.

There’s also new overnight lodging options available in nearby Altoona for those spending the day on the slopes. “Altoona is ready to greet winter travelers and sports enthusiasts! We are thrilled that Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is under new ownership and new management as we partner with their team to offer top notch amenities at our Altoona lodging properties. Lovers of winter fun will be able to experience PA’s highest skiable mountain with many improvements and updates.

In addition, overnight visitors have the choice of more than 1,450 hotel rooms, 285 eateries and restaurants, and 450 stores and shops as well as a wealth of variety of experiences throughout Blair County,” says Mark Ickes, Executive Director of Explore Altoona. Blue Knob is ready to welcome travelers making the trek to conquer the mountain. The resort is offering discounts on lift passes for both weeknights and weekends for guests staying in an Altoona hotel.
