Bike Bummer

An article in yesterday’s Washington Post discusses the rapid decline of the bike courier industry in D.C., and other big cities. As more government industries and other companies switch to electronic systems, less paper pushing means less deliveries. According to the story, the number of full-time couriers in the District has dropped from 400 to 150 in the last decade, and those still working are making significantly less money.
