Pisgah Area Sorba has broken ground on a new trail system at Richmond Hill, a 171-acre park five minutes from downtown Asheville. Some old logging roads and user created singletrack already exists at Richmond Hill, but Pisgah-SORBA plans to build 4-5 miles of sustainable trail. Kid friendly features and some technical fun is also in the master plan.
Upon completion, the Richmond Hill trails will be the closest singletrack to downtown Asheville, which is already a mountain bike destination because of its proximity to Pisgah National Forest.
