Earlier this year we told you about legendary Appalachian bootlegger Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton being sentenced to 18 months in prison for illegally brewing spirits and possessing a firearm. Well apparently Popcorn decided prison wasn’t for him, as the Asheville Citizen-Times is reporting that he recently took his own life after he was called to report to a state penitentiary.
