Weekend Picks: Cheat Fest 20th Anniversary

The annual Cheat River Festival, hosted by the non-profit Friends of the Cheat, is “a celebration of new life, that which comes each Spring and the new life that can be found in the Cheat River watershed.” And this year marks the festival’s 20th anniversary.2013panorama

This weekend, May 3, join all your best friends from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the festival grounds in Albright, West Virginia, for a festival full of boating, art, live music, climbing, and family friendly activities. There’s a silent auction, a downriver race, giveaways, climbing wall, and more.

The mission of Friends of the Cheat is “To restore, preserve, and promote the outstanding natural qualities of the Cheat Watershed.”
