Dive into Clarksville’s Lakefest 2018

The 41st annual Virginia Lake Festival, or as the locals call it, “LAKEFEST,”  is the Clarksville area’s largest event. Held on the third weekend in July, this year’s event takes place on July 21. Load up the boat, pack the sunscreen, and get ready for an epic weekend on the water.

The event features hot air balloons, arts and crafts, concerts, food, a boat parade and a fireworks show. Every year, Lakefest brings nearly 20,000 visitors to the area.

There are many events and activities that draw people to the Clarksville area.

Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a family vacation or a sportsman’s weekend, you’ll find plenty to enchant you in Clarksville. Located on Virginia’s Largest Lake, Clarksville is famous for the world’s largest blue catfish, fishing tournaments and beautiful lakeside views. That’s just the surface appeal of the area.

Dive a little deeper, and you’ll find things to do and see that will delight every member of the family, no matter their age or interests. This year, Clarksville is celebrating their 200th Anniversary with special events throughout the year, along with our many other annual events.
