Gatlinburg is Your Basecamp for Summer Adventures

Gatlinburg is your basecamp adventure, especially when it comes to exploring the great outdoors.
Gatlinburg’s walkable Parkway offers thrills of all kinds, all while immersed in Mother Nature. Take a
stroll along America’s longest pedestrian cable bridge at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, or a zip down the
mountain at Moonshine Mountain Coaster. Just steps from downtown, endless hiking opportunities
abound with over 800 miles of trails waiting to be discovered in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Don’t miss exploring the Smokies by boat during a white-water rafting excursion along the Pigeon River.

New this Summer, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts abound. Ober Mountain will offer mountain biking, as well whitewater rafting for visitors to enjoy exciting ways to take in all of nature’s beauty.
Guests can seek new heights at Anakeesta’s new BirdVenture, offering three, larger-than-life,
whimsically themed birdhouses for visitors to explore before taking the plunge 50-feet down the
mountain in a collection of seven thrilling, winding slides. The park will also unveil Hellbender, a new
double-rail mountain coaster, boasting the name of one of the Smokies most popular Salamander
species. However, if relaxing in the great outdoors is more your vibe, set up camp (literally) at Camp
LeConte, for an outdoor luxury glamping experience complete with s’mores around the fire. Before the
night is over though, make sure to grab a night cap and a rocking chair at the Ole Smoky Moonshine
Holler for a little live music.

Gatlinburg is an ideal road trip destination, located just a day’s drive away from nearly 1/3 of the United
States. Whether you’re making a one-stop trip or driving through on an all-American style road trip,
Gatlinburg’s natural beauty and endless options for adventure make it an ideal stop for your next
summer vacation.
