So Fly Festival

get more from BRO

For the first time ever a Fly-Fishing Festival is coming to Bath County, Virginia May 2-5, 2019.  This event was created by a small group of businesses who saw the perfect reason for people to visit Bath County in the Spring.  Not only is it a beautiful time of year to come to the Allegheny Mountains, but Bath County is filled with wonderful lodging options, award winning restaurants, and is home to some of the clearest and best waters for fishing on the east coast.

This festival will take place over a 3 day period kicking off on Thursday, May 2nd, with a Welcome Reception.  The reception is a collaboration between three local restaurants (The Waterwheel Restaurant, Snead’s 1912 Steak and Les Cochons d’Or)  and will also feature Smooth Ambler distillery, a local cidery, and some wonderful wines.  There will be a silent auction at the reception with all proceeds benefiting Project Healing Waters.  The full schedule of events for the festival can be found online.  All festival events are a la carte so that attendees can pick and choose what they want to do throughout the weekend.

For more information about this event, to be a sponsor/vendor, or to donate something to our silent auction, please contact Kate Loeffler at  For a list of all ticketed festival events please click here.
